Kids in the Zoo is a safe, fun, and Jesus-centered environment. Our goal is that kids leave feeling loved and having learned something about God. This goal is a shared passion of our qualified kids team as each volunteer has been interviewed, background checked, and trained to provide the best possible experience for your child.

First Time Check-in
Please arrive early if it is your first time checking in your child at Kids in the Zoo!
Our Check-In team is ready to take your contact information and any information you can provide us to help your child has a positive experience in Kids in the Zoo. You’ll receive a brief tour of your child’s classroom, and meet some of our awesome Kids in the Zoo team. At the end of the service, please utilize our First-Time Check Out line.
1 Years Old: Your child will interact with experienced and loving volunteers in a very fun room with toys, books, and snacks.
2 Years Old: We provide a short lesson and lots of time to play and have fun. Your child will hear about God and enjoy their time playing with friends.
3 Years Old: Our energetic volunteers provide lots of free time, a fun lesson, songs, crafting, and snacks. Your child will have a great experience.
4-5 Years Old: Our leaders can’t wait to care for and provide your child with a fun and engaging lesson about our amazing God. Be prepared to laugh and learn!
K-5th Grade: We provide time for playing games, singing songs, hearing a Jesus-centered Bible lesson, and enjoying small group discussions/activities. Our desire is to have your child experience the love of God and to display God’s love to Missoula.
Your child’s safety is our top priority. At Kids in the Zoo, we have considered heavily the safety of our children when it comes to everything we do. We want to eliminate all distractions so your child can experience fun while learning, and you can enjoy worship and the message without care.
A few easy ways we have accomplished this is locking the entry door during services, providing a security team member specifically for Kids in the Zoo, and by only letting authorized, background checked individuals into our Kids space.
Another way we keep your child safe is with nametags. Each nametag printed provides a unique, one-time code to help us match us parents and children. This code is also what you will see flash on the main screen in the auditorium if we need you during the service. If you have any questions concerning the nametags, please ask one of our Kids in the Zoo leaders.
